Boarded at Guarulhos airport in the 2nd Thursday (26/09) evening, and after a stopover at dawn in Fortaleza, arrived in Bethlehem in the morning. It was 2 and a half I did not come here, actually felt a longing felixxx2 for all the energy of this place that mixes the vibe of the Amazon with a Babylonian madness, sounds, smells, tastes, and any type of physical years. The Cultural Forest Casarão Sonora is exactly the shopping center, next to several instruments, electronics and stalls of all possible things to shops. On the first day, after meet and talk with several figures like Joey Breech, Michael Jackson (caretaker here) and Lorenzo, a French musician felixxx2 who is playing with a reggae band around, started work in the studio of late.
Chermont Leo is one of the main heads of the music scene here. Played with many bands and works as a music producer on several projects. The aesthetic harmony of our work was what catalyzed my back here. The first step was to do a hearing of the stuff I brought, a summary of my songs recorded in different contexts, but they have a strong bond between them, which should become an EP of six to eight lanes. But the idea and not be a copyright work solo, but a kind of portal that connects other ideas and materialize in music within a half experimental trip hop vibe. Something like creating an alternate space-time in the madness of our heads and accelerated lives. Thus, we were reflecting on the possibilities together, at the same time are almost endless, have a deadline of next Thursday 6th, October 07, when I have to leave. But most important of all is undoubtedly the process, learning and exchanges of experiences that should reflect in all my works and paths that collectively seek to create.
Some sounds are older, start from sketches I made with my partner Zeguila the Damn Sheep! I was always in doubt about what to do with them, were stored for a long time. The last time I had them was moved to send to the Directions of Itaú Cultural, and I was selected. Then roll a fondness for them yet. Listening together on Collective Apparatus and here in the Big House, we had consensus that it was worth being taken forward, giving us an upgrade, opening their code even expand with new possibilities. They are fairly simple ideas, some loops that function as mantras and have an interesting energy. Other sounds are newer, some are taking felixxx2 shape right now, closing guitar lines and each of the parties. Incidentally, the studio process has always been very creative, it creates new possibilities will open while things taking shape.
These days redid some bases, having as source sequencer RM1x Yamaha. Sampleamos some voices felixxx2 and we were cutting, and processing with equalizing effects.
